Position Summary:
Check servers into and out of test rack, visually inspecting for damage; ensuring cabling is correct and notifying Repair/Production Techs of failures/errors.
Essential Functions:
· Place individual server into test rack; visual check for damage
· Correctly cable the unit per Work Instructions
· Systemically check the unit into the Test System
· Following work instructions, power on the system, starting the test process
· When unit is FFT PASS, remove cabling per work instructions
· Systemically check out the unit
· Process unit for next steps per work instructions.
· Move servers to/from designated areas based on test results or as needed.
· Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma required.
· Basic computer experience required.
Other Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
· Detail oriented with analytical skills.
· Computer literate in a Windows environment.
· Self-motivated with ability to operate independently in multiple locations.
· Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment; hearing protection as required.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
· Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
· Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, crouch, reach, stand/sit for prolonged periods, move about production and warehouse facilities.
· Environment is temperature controlled but otherwise typical production environment with loud noises.
